What is one serving? About 1 handful or 1/4 cup of nuts. Almonds, walnuts, cashews, pistachios - it really doesn't matter which type of nut! Also, peanuts, which are actually classified as a legume, have health benefits. Go for raw or roasted nuts and avoid any nuts coated in honey, sugar or any other additives.
Nuts are high in heart healthy omega 3 fatty acids, protein, fiber and other vitamins and minerals that boost energy and immune system. Easily add nuts into your diet by grabbing a handful for a snack or topping salads, oatmeal or yogurt with nuts!
